About
Welcome to my digital ”home”!

I’m Nana - visual artist, author, and entrepreneur from Central Finland, where I live with my family.
If I had to describe myself, I’d say I’m an artistic freak, some kind of odd lump of opinions and attitude. My heart still carries the spirit of my hometown, Pori, on the west coast of Finland, where I was born way too long ago. You can take the girl out of Pori, but you can’t take Pori out of the girl!
Besides being a visual artist and author, I’m also a wife to an awesome man, a mother of two great sons, and a snail-mom to a couple of cute, slimy snails. I’m a die-hard classic car enthusiast, and my pride and joy is a green VW Beetle from the 70s.
While I navigate life on a disability pension, I try to see the bright side of life and channel that experience into work that’s raw, resilient, and unapologetically human.
I have written and illustrated a few books, the first being A Book About Coffee And Shit - as you can guess by the name, it involves some coffee-related wisdom and chaos. I’m currently writing my first full-length novel in Finnish.
I've also created some game graphics for a PC game called Snägäri Pinball - a great pinball game with strong 90s Finnish vibes. The game is available on Steam, if you're a gamer like me.
I mostly create digital art nowadays, but sometimes I dabble in acrylic painting, charcoal, or with graphite pencils.
Whether I’m painting, writing, or on the road with my Beetle down a Finnish backroad, I’m always exploring the messy, beautiful edges of what it means to create and live authentically.
Feel free to explore my digital home. You can find all my books here, available on Lulu.
My portfolio will be added here soon, so come check it out later.
